It's nothing more than a spacer on one side. If you get longer stem length, they tend to let you see behind you better. Regardless, you can't tell if it's a moped or a Mack truck. Just an object in your vibrating mirror.

I got a set of bikemaster sickles the other day. They came with adapters that fit perfectly. It was just a longer stud that goes through hole. Was exactly the same on both side and didnt need a spacer but i have an 03 chopper it may be different. I have a thread with pics.

Donna and Derek have the spacers needed for aftermarket mirrors but you will need to go to your local ace hardware( if you have one in your area) and buy two new chrome bolts I believe 2.5 inches long the ones that come in the kit are too long for some mirrors I'm using bikemaster sickles they stay tight and don't move around. Had them on my 96 pit and now my 07 K9

Yeah, I just got 2 chrome bolts and 2 chrome spacers from hardware store, was like $10 or so. If I remember correctly, the spacer on the right control is 1/4 " or so longer because it mounts behind not on top like the left side
