Probably was ordering those from DennisKirk - When I got my tire that was messed up she told me on the phone all the ones in stock looked the same.

I don't know where he gets them but I know that DennisKirk and some other sites sell tires cheaper than dealers can buy them. So I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't go through those outfits.

Strokers was running a sale a long time ago on the forum and they couldn't even touch the online vendors prices they said their price was more just due to the volumes these guys push out the door.

Think Drag Specialites is the importer no the Avon MC tires. Tires I order from all the websites have the same Drag Specialties sticker. But that's neither here nor there in regards to this post.

I just ordered one each a 300 and a 250. That is a good price and Doug seems to be a stand-up guy.
I owe you a dinner Eric!! Thanks for the heads up.

No problem..was thinking about you, Rodger and Harry when I posted this. Figured It be worth the drive at these prices. Although Rodger is just burning up 330's these days.

Hope it's not going to turn into another problem again for Avon, like the tire splitting

    When you going to Sturgis?

Is Doug shipping these tires? I assumed you had to pick them up in person

Well, I was told as I was pulling out this weekend, "we are coming thru Derby to pick you up on the way to Sturgis. You ARE going with us". How do ya say no? They can be very persuasive.

I left Doug a voicemail with my order. Goin by after work to do the deal.

Blacktopper has 90,000 on his old K9 and 20,000 or so on his new one, I have 70,000 on mine and 11,000 on my Bulldog bagger. All with Avons since new...never a problem with an Avon.

I said another episode LIKE the splitting problem, I didn't say they still had the splitting problem. Now they have the flat spot problem, as many have seen. Problems seem to plague them.

I don't think that flat spot has anything to do with Avon...looks like it was improperly stored.

The Avon I got from Rocky Mtn ATV after returning that one was perfect until there was a screw in it.
