Looks like about 6 months worth of dust built up on the poor mastiff...
Time to resurrect this thread too. Does anybody have any pictures of this? Obviously it’s an old thread send the pictures don’t show.
I am about to do the switch. Just waiting on it to arrive. I'd be happy to provide pics of the install.
I appreciate that I ordered mine yesterday
Sorry about the pictures from original thread but when we changed servers they were all lost. And I lost the originals over the years
Not a problem at all. Glad to do it to help out. Mine should be here Friday or Saturday. I will keep the thread posted of the progress.
Oh no surprise. Lol. They’ve been up for a long time. Not surprised they’d stop working especially since the thing with photo bucket
I received my new gauge yesterday. I work today so will likely do the install tomorrow. Moderators, would it be best to post my install in this thread or start a new one so the info is at the top of the thread? Thanks.
Yeah I figured starting a new thread would be best. Thank you.
Mine should be in today as well.
I went with the red, due to the maroon/burgandy colored stripes on my paint job. How about you?
Red also. Similar bike color
The attached PDF file has several pages from the original document
Great. Ty. I found a YouTube video. Looks straightforward enough. Stupid fedex says it was delivered but nope
I was looking at the instructions on setting up the speedo. Has anybody used the additional functions such as quarter-mile time mileage to service?
I posted a new thread from my install this morning if anyone needs it.
I never did, I only use "A" for fill ups and I change the oil & filter every fall regardless of mileage.
Hey Brandon, I haven't read through this whole thread, but was your original speedo bad? Or did you just replace it cause you wanted to? I like the original speedo's and mine is going bad so just thought I'd ask.
Mine was going bad. Intermittently just wouldn't work when I fired her up and took off. I would have to either stop and restart or shut it off on the fly and restart (not recommended lol). When it didn't work, it did not read speed nor clock miles. Even if it did the initial key on test function sweep there were still times it didn't work once i was rolling. So I was happy to drop the $217 for the Dakota Digital gauge.
