    They are way more powerful if they come from someone else or given as a gift. I have many here that I give out to new riders or new bikes. My bikes have never been unguarded!

    I've also heard they should be as close to the ground as possible, to ward off the "Road Gremlins".

    As I understand them, you can't buy them for yourself. They need (or are supposed to be) a gift from a friend.

    am on my second one. had the first one strapped to the oil lines on the right side and wore it out dragging it on the road leaning right. put the second one on last week in the same place as dave. may need to move it if it is supposed to be closer to the ground. need all the help i can get.

    And it is supposed to be more powerful if it is attached by the individual giving it to you.
