Is there a reason for the white glove in the first pic?

Just curious, is there any difference in welding in fresh and salt water?

Great pictures Paul! If you know anyone looking to buy a SuperLIte 97 diving helmet have them call Divers Supply Inc. in Gretna Louisiana (504.392.2800) ask for Robbie the owner. I just dropped one off for them to sell.

All of our helmets are navy owned and issued. We also have a set of 97 in our shop. Great helmet.

The first pic was a training pic. Not sure why it over the primary glove. Usually we were gloves under our diving gloves.

been certified since 1985 in Pipe & pressure vessel certification which is a bitch. but i'm curious. When arc welding the last thing you want to do is dunk hot steel in water, it looses tensile streingth, also in cold water there is a chance of crystalizing the weld. how does that work underwater???
