It looks like they do he is just getting some blue on the back one at a break in the heatshield.

It's not near the top. A little blue like that doesn't bother me.

The other problem if no heat shield chaps will stick like glue

I think top radius has heat shield, bottom section is just larger diameter pipe with no heat shield.. Doesn't matter about the blueing, your eyes naturally focus on the flat spots... :oldwtf: Knee dragger..:oldlaugh:

Yeah...I don't like BITCH stripes. They bother me more than blue on my pipes!

You're in texas -- what would you know about chaps (on a bike) or do you forget to take them off when you get off the horsie.:oldhardlaugh:

Haha..its not as warm as you might think In the spring and fall.

I just wore my chaps for most of 3700 miles out west. Still cold this time of year and only 40-50 in the AM.

For the most part chaps only come out on trips in the spring/fall when I'm and out bright and early.

I gotta clean the bugs off them and then I'll probably end up storing them away until this fall. They don't get too many miles but I appreciate them very much.

Personally, even when I was in NJ I gave up on chaps and went to Thinsulate lined Jeans -- keeps me warmer and they are super soft -- very comfy for all day riding.

I typically just wear underarmour pants underneath my jeans without chaps unless it's below 60 then I'll put on leather too. Same idea as those jeans you mention. Hell with those I am comfortable as hell until I get north of 80.

Yes it has thinned...8 years in the TX heat has done it.

Its funny but now im out working in 100 degrees no problem but under 50 I'm bundled. Used to be opposite. Bodies adapt.

Just wait! When I was young I used to work. Now my body is adapted to just pretending I'm working.
