Just for those who don't know. Flint Oak is an INTERNATIONALLY known hunting lodge. That said, I believe the accommodations will be just fine. 5 star? maybe not quite. Google earth the place and see. Looks like a small hotel on site. Anyone who has stayed there, PLEASE chime in. From the looks of their menu, I would say they are used to pleasing the most picky of people? Jmo

The other location we were considering was more than that, and we had no guarantee the bike would be safe.

I'm hoping some of the local Kansas crew might have been onsite and can give an honest opinion of the lodge and the setup. It might go a long way in easing the minds of some .

I'm sure its a nice place, that was not my intention to put the place down.
I just don't like to see people belittled because they choose not to participate for what ever their reason is.

Reading some of these posts makes me think about all the times folks have got together in some of the "seedier" places and had a really great time. Maybe it isn't a 5 star, swanky, ritzy place, but I personally have more fun getting together where I don't have to act all dignified and proper. I am going to try really hard to attend, but I can't guarantee I'll be able. I'm hoping things get turned around for some of ya so you can make it. If things don't work out and someone can't go, there should be NO hard feelings toward them. :2cents: End of rant.

I have absolutely no problem with that location, as it is as close to the center of the country as ya can get, and I know I've slept in much worse places. It seems as if everyone is all excited about Daytona, which ,in my opinion, will be way over crowded with everything from mopeds to those ugly ass big wheel things, Kansas will be mainly for the Big Dogs. We should all be thankful and appreciative of Shannon and the rest of the guys that are putting this get together in the works! :old2::cheers::old2::cheers::old2:

one of the underlying reasons that it will be held there that hasn't been pointed out in quite a while is the fact that Matt Moore is a member at the resort. if not for that, would have to be somewhere else. this is a private resort.

that remains to be seen, but since he is only about 1 1/2 hours away, he would probably be the closest one to the event.

I think it was mentioned earlier that it would be great if he was there and he had his camera crew and they filmed the event, maybe if enough members confirmed they are going he would consider it.
