I love my karata just wish the support was there.
They are almost impossible to get ahold of anymore.

The daughter was on the forum recently slinging pulleys still no back plate.

Last I heard from her she was gonna ask her dad to make plates but that was a while ago I guess if they want to sell the stock they have it would be easier to have a full kit available

Maybe that was during your hiatus?

She said no plans to do any plates. Seemed to me they just wanted to unload old stock of pulleys.

She even claimed people were modifying their stock BDM inner primary to run the plates....which is just plain ridiculous and looks completely unprofessional and cheap crap on an otherwise expensive bike. And what I would want on a rat bike, I like rat bikes but it has to be full rat

Going to wait and see how the 4” looks on a longer frame. Plus the pulley and belt are about 600.00

Is there another vendor other than baker and karata? Saw some open primary on eBay without the back support plate.

I don't have a CNC machine to make the backer plates for the karata, but I spun out a outboard bearing plate for @1wildwillie
