Avon Cobra vs Venom Mileage Update

    Are you running cobras on the rear? I thought they were still making the venoms on the 330s? If you're running venoms then they are good, the cobras suck! I went through 5 of them on the 300 rear all split, I'm done with them too...:(

    The fronts were't the issue it's the 300 rear that we're having issues with. I thought you were running the venom on the rear. In that case you should be good to go!

    Well, just bought a new cobra 2 months ago...just checked the DOT date stamp and it's 0213....

    MELKSHAM, UK, 10 June., 2014 – Avon Tyres has announced updated tread compounds to its 250/40VR18 & 300/35VR18 Cobra AV72 tyres, using new developments in technology to deliver the highest quality products to its customers.

    The new technology is set to further improve and enhance the tyres’ durability, boosting their overall performance.

    The update in compounds took place in September 2013 – 300/35VR18 and December 2013 – 250/40VR18

    Our Cobra range is aimed at the power cruiser/touring/custom market with these 2 sizes being popular on American Ironhorse, Big Bear Chopper, Big Dog, Victory and Steed Motorcycles.

    Thanks for the info I will keep you in mind when I need some rubber sale or no sale. I just like the looks of the avon and would like to keep my dog original as possible.

    I had the same conversation with the Avon folks at Sturgis..he insisted the'd take care of any separation problems.

    heard some woman got shot up there in Helen!? guy playin' around with his gun and ended up shooting himself through the hand and hitting/killing a woman. true or not, don't know.
