OK as you may know I bought the Accutronix air cleaner and a S&S G Velocity Stack Chrome Billet Breather Bracket.
So I figured since I was taking the stock air cleaner off and installing the new one I would take step by step pictures.

    OK here goes.
First off you need to unscrew the outside cover (3) screws.
you can use a standard alan key.
Once those are unscrewed take off the cover. You will see the filter.
Now take off the filter and you will see the 3 screws holding the outer intake backing to the carburetor. Unscrew those now.
Once those are lose now start unscrewing the breather bolts up top.
Now you can remove the backing and start removing this hose from behind the backing.

From here you can start removing the hose from the top breather bolts leading to the filter. This will no longer be used.
Once your intake looks like this it's time to take the actual breather bolts out.
Now it's time to line up everything before install. Make sure the gaskets will seat properly. And the bracket sits in the proper position.
(Nothing lined up for me. All the wrong parts 3 hours of reshaping the bracket. Rotozip and drill work. The bracket was over an 8th off but I made it work).
A little work but it's starting to come together.
This is what the bracket should look like installed.
    Yummy chrome.

On to the next problem. Since I bought a S&S E G Velocity Stack Chrome Billet Breather Bracket ,which is thick billet my screws were to short that came with the Accutronix air cleaner.
I had some same thred bolts that would work but would have to do a little grinding to get them to sit right.
    No problem!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK we just past all the hard stuff. Now to fit the filter and cover.
On the Accutronix air cleaner there are about 12 Alan head bolts securing it to the filter and backing. So to line up all of them and keep the spacers in place I place scotch tape across the heads. Just so when I was lifting the cover on they would not all fall out.
fasten the cover nice and tight. and look-E- look-E-, LOL[IMG]

    Looks good Mud.

For a good source of chrome bolts try Keck Hardware on West Rd in Trenton. best selection around.

No way smaller, that was a let down.
But it kills the other one in looks.
would have been nice If the filter was bigger.
But i have a mod comming for that to.
I will be replacing the spacers with longer ones to get a bigger filter in there.

Nice job Mud - after reading your other posts - well done!

I'm running a stock S&S tear drop cleaner and might switch to this -

Might want to run that between the motor and tranny. Wouldn't want it to leak on the chrome.

don't see any breather head bolts? Gas is right...oil and hot chrome does not mix. Shit can be hard to get off!

Looks good MudSlinger. Who makes the filter you added to the carnk vent? I've not seen that one before -- nice!

Don't worry about the chrome...the oil mist ain't gonna hurt it.

Here's how mine's mounted, tucked just inside the pipes, on a chrome bracket attached to the bottom forward tranny bolt. From this angle it is a little hard to tell, but it is at the same height as the lower pipe, making it is almost invisible except at this high viewing angle.

OK the breather head bolts are integrated to the bracket.
The bracket has a hollow track in side of it that feeds from the filter.
It is an S&S velocity stack bracket.
