Hey all, thanks for having me and I am a noob to this site also.. I have a question that I believe I know the answer but would love some reassurance... I am attaching a pic of my 07 pitbull that currently does not have a speedo. I realize after a few tickets that it might be a good idea to acquire one.. Is the oval looking flat piece with a bolt the location in which where the speed sensor should go? Any recommendations on where to get one and a good small speedo for my handlebars. I have LA chopper handlebars.. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks all!!
No wire just a oval plate with one bolt.. Yeah its on the tranny. It's the oval plate with a bolt, dead center of photo
No preference really, whichever one I can find first that blends well. My main concern is size. Primarily a smaller gauge..
Any speedo device that allows calibration (ticks per mile or wheel diameter) could be used. I have seen very small cigarette lighter sized ones and full sized MC speedos with all the idiot lights. There are tiny digital readout versions that could easily be bar mounted. And others that run using internal GPS signal. Dakota Digital to start! On another note...this speedo looks like it would be an interesting alternative if the original BDM speed goes out. http://www.acewell-meter.com/c0_1.php?pid=3&bid=11 http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail?ItemNumber=192853CH
