There are AIH parts available, not a problem. If your serious about that particular bike, I'd question why it has a rev tech motor with just 5,500 miles on the clock. Other things to look at, does the speedometer/tachometer work, (that one looks aftermarket) does it shift well, they come with a Asian 6 speed, NOT a Baker like BDM. And that looks like a 240 rear tire. Whatever you decide, hope this helps, and good luck.

Remember you get what you pay for, to me like looks like it has been rode hard, and out away wet. And wet under a trap is never a good thing. Sorry man just my thoughts, it will most likely nickel and dime you to death (only in thousands of them).

Were all American Ironhorse bikes equipped with a nonUS transmission (stock)?
As far as I know, all AIH came with a "Roadmax" transmission. They are Asian, Korean I believe. Some of the AIH owners have had problems, my two have been great (so far).

Well the motor is basically identical, same tranny, has Harley type wiring so no ehc problems and cheaper parts as far as that goes. S&S boxes etc. Not sure what else you'd need to look out for unless they had problems with frames cracking or something

This one seems to be a much better deal:

Has a Baker 6-speed, perhaps he upgraded it.

Love the way it looks, problem is there is no Amerian Ironhorse forum :-o

In other words no way to find out which year(s)/model(s) to avoid and how to fix stuff :-(
I have some info in my Dropbox, have a look through.

AIH have some issues, mostly minor, igniter may go bad but there are lots of replacements available.
Here is a decent resource, if you have any questions on AIH, just ask. Lots of us on here that are familiar with them.
