Wet sanded and polished the motor mount foot control mount. Has anyone chromed theirs? I am thinking about doing it but wonder if the chrome peels it could possibly cause the motor to misalign. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My pitbull had the same mount if I were you I'd leave it polished just in case rocks nick it up them you can sand it out and polish it up
I have always liked those grips and pegs. Started to get some years ago, just never came up with the money. I think you did good Paul
Thanks I have wanted them for about 5years the wife got them for me for Christmas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Took a break from the ridgeback build and spent some attention to the big bear ! Lots of polishing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No shit I am looking at a few companies. I may go the used route if I find something I like and get them powdercoated. I have always really like metal sport wheels but I will never pay $8k for wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Okay so I got the controls mounted and have a bit of a gap. I don’t remember having a gap like this on the pitbull. Thoughts or do you have any pics on your hand control fitment? I am concerned with water getting into the boards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Forgot to mention these are bars that came with the frame not sure what big dog they go to but the pull back allot further making them easier to reach Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree that the powder coat is the problem. I can't remember how much it adds in thickness, but the proof is in the fact that the hand control is all the way together on one end and gapping on the other.
Probably fix it by removing the hand control and observing exactly where the control makes contact with the bars and removing that tiny little bit more.
Before powder coating which can be a problem.....try angling it differently meaning move the whole setup up and down. If it's not perfect it never fits right. I've seen that gap before and it was control board was too far up and needed to be angled down, which then brings the clutch lever up higher Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk
I have tried that, I have some ideas. I am thinking about getting some carbon paper or chalk and wrapping it around the bars putting the controls on to see where it’s making contact and grind that area down More to follow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
