Previous owner by-passed ignition module. so when toggle switch is turned on all four signal lights are stuck on . push start button and nothing? ordered new starter form bigdog but wrong one was sent .i had already removed starter so decided to clean contacts as i removed cover from solenoid oil was present inside not sure but didnt look right is this normal? After i cleaned contacts and removed oil that was present after reinstalling im getting 12.6 at battery and at starter . then proceeded to test starter with green wire and nothing starter does not engage.but still as soon as toggle is activated signal lights come on but dont blink .

If your not getting the starter to engage at all with solenoid wire then problem sounds like the starter is bad. No Noise?

I'm confused on the lights issue. Sounds like the issue isn't new and you still rode it last weekend?

Cousin and got starter to engage last night with bypass wire . Yes road fine last weekend Friday and Saturday went to start it Sunday pushed start button it attempted to fire but didn’t .tried a second time and nothing only thing that comes and stays on is front signal lights not blinking just on like a short or a grounding issue. We tried resetting ehc .we are getting 9 volts out of ehc module but nothing to ignition module .we then bypassed it wires from ignition coil to ignition module and red light comes on .we then tested right hand control to see if we had power at connection no power . So we will be removing gas tank to inspect wires from right hand controls to ignition module.

Ignition module actually doesn't have anything to do with starter engaging. But seems like you are on the right track as its apparently a wiring issue.

Although have you tried to do the bypass wire again?

I hope you unhooked the green solenoid wire when you jumped it? When you start bypassing things you need to cautious of a feedback loop which can fry the relays in the EHC
