Difference in handlebar height of K-9 vs Mastiff/Bulldog (EFI)

I've always thought of the K-9 as the soft trail version of the Ridgeback wrt the wheelbase and handlebar height.
I wouldn't mind going to a shorter wheelbase but would like to maintain the same handlebar height.
How much of a difference is there in handlebar height between a K-9 and a Mastiff or Bulldog? ('08 on up)

Seems it would be a chore to get the K9 bars down as low as the Bulldog (which they didn't make in 08). Difference in a chopper and a prostreet.

It's the opposite, I like the taller handlebar of the K-9. Wondering how much shorter the Mastiff or 07 Bulldog is

I don’t know the difference for any of these but in comparison the 04 pitbull (pro-street ) has allot less pull back than the ridgeback bars. When originally doing the fitup of the bars the pitbull bars were harder to reach on the ridgeback.

Ever looked at the 06 chopper, lil shorter than the k9

I actually like the chopper a lot for the slightly shorter wheelbase and the slightly lower price.
I was taking a serious look at an 03 since it's pretty much Harley fitment so maintenance is swap in.
However right now having EFI is pretty important to me which rules out the chopper.

You could always convert a chopper to efi with something like this http://www.performancefi.com/
I know it ups the cost but if you're after the "best" of both worlds might be a consideration.

Had no idea conversion was even an option. Not saying it's not worth it but $2k is going to be out of my budget.
Also going to 08 gives me the 300 rear tire.

Agreed, but if you find the right deal, it could be an option down the road; ie get chopper and upgrade next year to efi.
Also I agree and I prefer the 300 but for me even more than that is the 4gal vs 3 gal gas tank. And most days I'd like to have a larger tank on the K-9, like maybe a 6gallon!

Here's an opportunity for someone, build a bigger tank for the K9 and Mastiff. Ironhorse did that on one of the last models they built, I thought it was very good looking. Ray did it on his bike.

I'll keep my Ridgeback through the winter and if it continues to start in colder temperatures then there's really no urgency to get an EFI K-9

Ambassador Raywood and his brother built a larger tank and yet he still ran out of gas on our trips and on trips with others.

He was legendary for running out of gas and many other reasons!

I will. Bear in mind if my carb starts throughout this winter then I wouldn't do it.

Speaking of carbs, I thought you just set it up once and that's it - or does the carb need to be adjusted for winter starting/riding?

Change of pipes and other things on the engine, altitude (sometimes) require changes. Just never had to deal with it much, prefer closed loop efi where it figures it out for me.
It's not that i CAN'T setup a carb just takes a little longer as I rarely do it and haven't done it in years!
