I got my new fender and bung back from the painter this evening and got them on the bike. I've got to polish the gas cap before I put it on the bike. I'll take some better pics in the sunlight tomorrow bc that candy paint always looks better in the sunlight. (I painted the bung hoping to make the cap stand out more.)

Just an idea I’m not sure how close the cap gets to the bung but I’d try and cut out a piece of clear bra to put on it so the cap doesn’t scratch the painted surface

I definitely need some to cover the bung but I have never done it so I don’t know what I’m doing. Can you assist me with some knowledge Sensei?

The more I think about it I believe you would be better off using a thicker O-ring on the cap to hold it higher
off the paint savor if the one now is too close, Andyson

Flip the bung upside down on a piece of paper trace a template and transfer template to a piece of clear bra, mark and cut:oldthumbsup:

It has a pretty thick o-ring on it so I guess I just need to look at it when I put it together to see how close it is to the bung.
