It's got the same exact light output/Lumens (4000) so it's got the same brightness as the sunpie. It actually doesn't list it's lowbeam on the website.Look into this it's much brighter and extremely high quality

Yes Sir...i have that one in both bikes. One has about 6k miles the other gas 2k both no issues.

The OEM plastic connector shouldn't melt as the current is much lower BUT I would still replace it when you got it apart anyways just incase. No reason not to put a ceramic one in the headlight regardless.
