Hey wanKER,

Tell me what thread /dimensions, etc. do have our CRs again, please? Thanks.

I need new ones and I am not going to buy the same ones from S&S, too expensive... I will find some manual ones.
Here's the manual ones from S&S:eek: Electric ones are cheaper and when you go with the cheaper manual ones you won't be able to reach in the hole without burning your fingers.

Looks like they will work if you can activate them, not much lost if they don't at that price

S&S Compression Release Kit
If you built a big monster of a motor, you want it to destroy the pavement, not your starter. S&S Cycle's compression release system eliminates high compression starting problems. Designed exclusively for S&S cylinder heads, the compression release system consists of a small valve that opens during starting and allows a portion of the cylinder pressure to escape into the exhaust port. The reduced cylinder pressure makes it easier for the starter to turn the engine.

Features:
  • Available in electric or manual styles for S&S heads that accept compression releases
  • Electric compression releases open when you press the start button and close when the button is released
  • Manual compression releases are opened manually and close when the motor starts
  • Kits include the required parts for installation
  • Thread pitch is 10mm x 1.0mm
  • Made in the USA
I would have sworn the S&S were different thread pitch!!! Thanks Bro!!! Same deepness???

I think mine are gonna need replaced this winter. Sometimes the bike starts nice and easy, other times it's like the starter hit a brick wall and it has to muscle through to get her spinning.

Put your finger on the rear CR when you go to start it and feel if it pops back up while its trying to start, if it does pop up, push it down immediately. Even though they work when you push the start button, it doesn't mean it has the nuts to hold it down when the compression comes up in that cylinder causing it to close and you get the bang.
Ok thnx, I'll try that tonight when I get home from work.

Hold the rear CR down with your left hand while starting the bike, that´s what I´ve been doing for the last year or so... since I broke a starter shaft!!!
