Whaaaat???? Yeah, the trans fluid didn't begin to flow UNTILL I pulled the clutch assembly off. I looked at the seal and it appears that the assembly fits INTO the seal. Am I correct with that assumption?
Yep Ker is correct and I missed that part in your original write up. The seal only seals with the back of the clutch basket torqued down

Unfortunately not gonna be at biketoberfest... On my radar one year though. Rather do that one than Daytona, which is too early in the spring and still cold and wet.

So you have to choose whether to get wet in Texas or in Florida

It's mostly the ride over to Florida I know it will rain along those gulf states in the spring. Fall is a better chance of less rain.

Plus less people at biketoberfest than Daytona. Don't want to go there to sit in traffic

You’re right. Daytona is sitting in the bar or traffic, or trying to get to a bar thru million people by foot on Main Street

It's not so bad if you know your way around you can take side/back roads to get to where you want to go there are plenty of ways to get into main st without dealing with traffic and plenty of secured paid parking lots. It's gotta be good it draws a huge crowd both seasons every year and most of us keep going back along with thousands of others from across the country

This will be my first event like this... I usually avoid large crowds. The draw for me is getting a chance to meet up with the guys on the forum.....see you all there!

I won't be at biketoberfest but will definitely be at bikeweek in march, do yourself a favor if you go on mainstreet pay the $5 and park in a lot it's well worth it there is a good one just before the bridge on main st if coming from a1a on the left or on the right just after the bridge coming from beach st ya can't miss it it's directly across from my favorite place sunsetters on the river the owner there is super cool

Was hoping to meet you..... maybe the next one.

Sounds to me like ya don't like Daytona.
Different strokes for different folks. I visit Main St. once during the day and then again that night, just to stand on a corner and watch the traffic for an hour or so and I'm good. No bars, waste of time and money. But I enjoy the total atmosphere around Daytona during that time and the rides up and down the coast is what WE like and that's all that really matters to me is the R&R that we get when we're there and its easy to rack up 3-500 miles on the bike when we're there.

By the way Gil, don't listen to Dent
about parking,:oldlaugh: it was $7 last time, but look for the places that offer you return parking for the whole day.:old2: Be careful if you drink cause when you leave the secure parking they stop you at the exit to check your ticket so it matches your bike, along with a little chat with you.

I like Daytona OK, not just my favorite rally. I think it’s somewhat overrated and the hotel prices are just robbery. Sure living in Florida makes it different for me. Last 2 times I basically went there just for lunch and took off to ride around northern Florida. ..

I like Butt fuk! You are right though, 400 a night for a 100 room kind of spoils it for me. (Not the butt fuk part)

Holy Moly $400 a night. I'm at $150/night, King bed, ocean front with kitchen and that's more than the usual place I stay at because the regular condo had water damage.

Where you stay? Last I looked on the beach close to Main Street, expensive spot allright. But figured if I want to go to bar to have a beer or listen some music say on Bank I wouldn’t need to ride....

Curious, the prices have gone down since I last looked
