Not too sure about all the spikes but I can live with them. One thing I can't live with are those mirrors. I have got to order some different mirrors.
Save your money on the mirrors. You will be spending soon enough. The 05’s have many potential issues. Has the restrictor been removed from carb. I will send you my $5,000 of of invoices for my O5 that had 2700 miles on it. New rocker boxes, main shaft, clutch nut, computer, ignition and more. Need to do charging system soon so I don’t fry my new computer. G carb makes huge difference over the E. Mirrors not so much. Talk to Curtis at WIld Steed Worx and he can tell you what to look for.

Yall are just full of great news. I was so excited to get this thing home that I spent my entire day off just cleaning, polishing, and learning where all the issues and scratches are. I hope I don't regret buying this thing. I guess I always have the Goldwing for backup.

He,he... you're right, it sounds like all doom and gloom. A good overall inspection, some regular maintenance then take it for a good shake down run...that aughta do it. Biketoberfest is coming up!!!

As I told u when u were searching on FB bro, these things aren't for the weak.. lol.. they do require love and attention and wont last like that goldwing will, but I can guarantee that they are a lot more fun and get a million times more attention! Keep ur chin up broham!! U got a beautiful bike and don't let these filibusters knock ya down.. take it as advice on some things and others just ignore.. cheers bruh!

my neighbor has a 05 chopper( bought it new )
One ehc , and otherwise trouble free ( lost headlight on the ehc otherwise still worked).

As far as mirrors go believe me I've been thru several sets that vibrate apart the absolute best ones that won't fall apart or move from the vibration are bike master sickle mirrors they are $100+ dollars but well worth the investment also they look awesome and do function unlike most of the smaller mirrors
That's cause your cheap and buy junk..

Buy the one that clips on your sun glasses, they won't vibrate off:D
