... well; after calling the Sheriff, the Attorney General for both the State of Texas, and Travis County DA.. I did two things. I just drove my pick-up to his 'house' .. no one was home; my bike was out in the open... so I just wheeled it out to the road and tried to lift it in my truck. Well, that didn't work. So I took a $20 bill and waved it at passersby ... a nice couple stopped and helped me load it. They wouldn't even take the $20. I looked around and found the tins.. all painted 'rattle can flat black'... and a few other items in a storage shed, loaded everything up and went back to my hotel. Then I emailed the Sheriff dept telling them exactly where I was, what I did, and if they want me, come and get me. Otherwise I was heading home first thing in the morning. Then the next morning I stopped by and filed a lawsuit against the owner of Stryker Customz... But on 30 June I had put a 'dispute' in with PayPal for the $1600 I sent them... for services paid for but not delivered... and a few weeks ago PayPal took that $1600 from their account and put it back into mine. I will be amending my lawsuit... taking off the $1600 and adding however much it takes to 'get it back to normal'. My insurance would not pay... they said it was a 'civil matter' following the lead of the Sheriff's disposition (but all they did was make one phone call; bastards).
So now, with my money back in my pocket, my bike in the garage, it is time to start over. I am only missing the wind-vest and my Danny Gray leather seat... and I just found one of those on Ebay for $130, so I bought it. Have to wait awhile on the 'vest' ... those things are just too expensive right now.. my money needs to do other things first.
Thanks for asking. It's been too hot to ride anyway... :)

Well; it is not over yet. I called my local PD to report that my license plate was stolen and spoke to a different Officer. He is a fellow veteran who was wounded in Afghanistan ... and he took the time for me to show all my evidence that I had collected. And after his review he determined that, yes, my bike was stolen. He made copies of all of my evidence ... so things are looking up. And now my insurance has been notified by this Officer ... so it looks like I will also get an insurance settlement too. And, listen to this: as I was waiting on a 'supervisor, decision maker for my insurance to return my call (because I had appealed the 'not-covered' decision) and the exact moment he called me back, the Officer knocked on my door, as he was returning from his office where he had copied all of my documents. How fortuitous.! So, I asked the Officer if he would speak directly with the insurance supervisor (decision maker) and he did. You just can't get better than that.!
