How are you my friends. Hope that you are all doing well (as well as your bikes). Well after 10 years, my original battery finally died on me (only use the bike in the summer). I was never really happy with the original battery's cranking power, and need the advice of you Big Dog gurus for what you think is the best replacement battery for my 2007 K9. I have the service manual to help with the installation, but is there anything special that I should be careful with or look out for to avoid damaging the bike during installation? As always, thanks so much for your expert help and advice my friends--Brock

I was proactive and replaced my 07 K9 with. Braille. The Braille had a 24 month warranty and (you guessed it) it pissed out on me on the 23rd month. Anyway, replaced it with a HD battery and it going on it 3rd year. I think it's the same battery that goes in a sportster ( I always wanted a Sportster!). Sometimes payingbthe extra money dOesnt always pay.

Many opinions, I had a harley battery for three and a half years, started getting weak so replaced it with a Braille, had it for about six months now. We'll see how long it lasts. You could ask ten guys and get ten different answers, prolly all the same battery with different branding on them..

Braille, mine lasted around 6 years or so. It gave me great service and will continue by being placed in a home 17.5KW generator.

The AGM batteries made by deka or a harley battery work real well as the lithium ion ones don't work well with our efi bikes electronics!!! I like the batteries with solid posts and 2 spots to bolt your wires on each post!!!

Deka is the same company that makes HD batteries... as a shop, we definitely recommend Deka. 330 cold cranking amps and ETX20L would be the size you want...

Another suggestion. I like and use "Lightning Start" batteries in all four bikes. The one in my 03 Pit Bull is going on three years. Still spins my 107 over like a top (without compression releases) 450 cca, one year warranty, for around $90.00 to $100.00....

Just purchased a "Parts Unlimited" AGM battery a few weeks ago to ride with Ground Pounder, Srodden and BigdogBro2 to a local car cruise. Frantic purchase from the local ATV sports shop so I could ride. Seems to work fine so far. $95.00 and I added the electrolyte acid and quick charge. Not my first choice but needed a battery bad. The old Interstate lasted three or four years.

Braille Battery --- Thumbs down! Bought battery in Dec 2016, Shipped back to Braille on 6/22/2017 after 6 starts! ,2 cycle shops told me battery was shot, $32 to ship back (Braille doesnt cover), They found nothing wrong with the battery, shipping back to me today 7/7. They do not respond to emails at all!!! 4 follow up phone calls. No sense of urgency for this so called premium Battery. This is my last Braille.

I tried telling that to many people.. same here, we use deka batteries in our shop and they make a lot of the manufacturers batteries and buying from them saves a bit.. my deka was about 96 after tax.. no battery tender or n e of that s hit needed

I've used Braille twice, didn't like waiting around for delivery, went Batteries Plus store right down the street, had the bike up and running in 45 min from start to finish, they have Duracell 24 month free replacement at $124, so far working out well for me in Fla heat.
