I use the Lyndall's because they don't produce alot of brake dust. They are Pricey but good. The others was just to let you know where you can get brake pads if you need some

I haven't found any pads that don't produce dust so I just wipe it off. Now, my truck did have pads that didn't produce dust but I had to replace the rotors all the time. So, pick your poison. For the Dog, replacing rotors isn't the way to go.

I really don't understand this brake dust problem I never noticed any on mine, the back wheel will get some road dust on it but I wipe everything down after every ride, are you using brakes excessively? Possibly calipers sticking? Not braking soon enough and have to apply to much? Really just asking cuz I never notice brake dust ever oneither wheel
That's cause stopping power from your highway speeds of 15mph is fairly nonexistent...:moped:. :oldlaugh:

:agree::agree::agree: I also never notice much on my wheels, really it's the belt dust that is on the rear after I ride, not the brake dust.

I see customer's rides here all the time and I have to say that every time I see a rear dust issue its because the rider is large or rides two up allot and uses allot of brake power or they ride the rear brakes even though they swear up and down that they don't.
It's not rocket science when you look at a rear rotor and it is worn ragged the buttons are loose and there is dust on everything and you look at the front rotor and it looks like it is barely used.

So let me ask the question? Any recommendations on type of brake pad material? Sintered, organic? I ride the shit out of the bike and brake pads tend to 1 make a mess and 2 wear quickly.
Thanks,
Paul

A good question indeed.
Organic is always going to be the dirtiest pad you can put on your ride.
Sintered will dust but not as much as organic.
Ceramic is the way to go these days but even then I have found different issues with different ceramic pads.
I've been running the ceramic Dura pads and to date there the best pad I have found.
Relatively long lasting, depending on how you ride, lower heat factor and less dust.
The dust is easy to wipe off with a little detailer and a clean cotton cloth.
The next big issue I find is that allot of people don't understand what really needs to be done when they change their brake pads.
Most simply yank their old pads out and throw the new pads in.
Most do not:
Surface the rotor, easy to do with a drill and a hand surface tool.
Clean all the dust out thoroughly from the caliper using a good brake parts cleaner
Use additional anti-squeal on the back of the pads
Use proper, if any, high temp caliper grease where the pads ride and on the pad retaining pin
Rebuild the caliper if needed, if your pads are wearing even a little uneven you have to rebuild the calipers
Of course if your putting new rotors on the first is not needed.

I am hoping to get a how to video out soon on brake pad replacement.

I wish the company that was building the ceramic pads and discs was still in business.
They claimed zero dusting and no molten on your rims.
But they were so expensive no one was buying them.

That's kind of along the lines of guys who put 200 or 300 miles on their BD each year and then post about how they never have this problem or never have that problem.
I'm not chop'n on you cdogg, please don't get upset at me:patriot:
I'm just sayin your a lucky cdogg cause your rims are chrome.
Hahaha, :oldlaugh: not even taking it that way at all, but just so you know I am up around anywhere from 4,000 to 6,000 miles a year, :yesnod: this year has sucked cuz of the shitty weather, but I'll make up for it soon! :chopper:And yes, I love my chrome rims! :whoop::old2:
