Need some answers before i drop $800+

Energy One
going to rip off the stock ugly setup forward controls and need to know where the heck I can find some that bolt right up... I looked on amazon and eBay, and a few other sights but its like big dog doesn't exist anymore and people are just to damn lazy to do the cross reference charts for parts that fit or come close enough to need little or no mod... I'm also looking for a sissy bar for my bike but no luck their either... thinking of having my brother fab me one but he said its at least $300 to make it, not counting mounting it somehow... just the forward controls and sissy bar are looking to cost me close to a grand.... like to hell with that crap... found a couple forward controls that looking at a picture on a computer look close to the right bolt pattern for like $250 but I need to be sure before dropping that kind of money especially when I'm putting a grand into already to make sure I never have starting problems again...

P.S... I ride a 2003 Big Dog Mastiff...

This is what i got right now for a good picture of her... Will get a close up when it gets light out... But arnt the spikes on the sides of the rear fender there to mount a sissybar?

Any Harley forward controls for a softail 90's softail will work.

Spikes are for bags I think not a sissy bar.

You will need new struts to mount a sissy bar.

Check out Ginz Choppers website they might have something. Still gonna cost ya $600-1000 though I would bet

I'd call Ginz -- They were extremely helpful last year when I had them make me a sissy bar with Luggage rack nad saved me money over my original request as they said it was over-engineered (I do tend to do that at times).

I used Ginz mounts with a BDM sissy bar and it has worked great for me.View attachment 41950
No way in hell im drilling holes in a fender thats irreplacable... I need something thatll bolt up or i guess im selling the bike to find something that has ready parts... Like a foreign piece of crap yamaha or suzuki...after riding this big dog all the harleys ive ever riden are far from comparison. But whats the point in having a one of kind bike when 1 little slip and its gone for good with no way to bring her back to life because noone makes parts... Youd think with big dog being back in the swing of making bikes that they would throw us some shit that works instead of being forced to fab almost everything for these bikes...

the new BDM is really just a small company consisting of some of the guys that used to work at the old BDM. they are doing what they can to stay alive while building new bikes and sometimes bringing back some parts that we need. they do not have the same kind of backing that the old BDM had and i, for one, think they are doing ok. can't expect for a fledgling co. to pick up the responsibility for all 25000 bikes before they took over the reigns.
have you tried checking with bigdogpartsking.com , they have a lot of the left over parts. or at least the ones that haven't already headed to Sweden?
also, as far as grips and pegs, have you checked out dlxprodox.com ?

Bigdogpartsking.com no longer exists... But the forward co trols and grips and mirrors and all kinds of small things are ordered as of this morning so i hope they fit... But i really need that backrest now... Got my brother talked into welding me up a chain sissybar from some cheap chrome chain at the hardware store... But id still like to find some mounting brackets to make this a little easier on us for it...

I was speaking with Donna yesterday and they are the strategic supplier for big dog parts and they are in touch with all the original manufacturers of all the parts so everything should be available through them in no time. Just some FYI, they own the rights to big dog parts and so when u order from big dog it's going through them anyways.
