Drop the pressure in the rear tire just a LITTLE bit, but not too much.

Don't get too carried away and go too awful low. Just enough to smooth out the ride.

You should have adjustable shocks.

35 psi front and rear, the recommended 40 was not necessary for me as I only weigh about 160 and rode solo most of the time. But the real improvement came when I installed Progressive shocks. Huge difference from stock.

Got to be careful you don't go too low, you hit a hole and bend the rim you will pay big time, set the shocks in the middle.

What do you weigh? I am 175 and find my mastiff very comfortable, better ride than my AIH or my wife's HD . Welcome to the forum by the way.. Intro?

Crawl under your bike and have a look at your shocks, then log on to the Progressive website and check out the various products they offer. The progressive units are a lot heavier duty, and are adjustable for the rider's weight. In my opinion, a lot of the aftermarket stuff that BD bolted on our bikes was pretty much top shelf, but I think they skimped a little bit when it came to the shocks. Also, mine were about 10 years old when I replaced them, so I'm sure they just had some wear on them, in addition to being "cheapo" units. There was a night and day difference in ride comfort for me. I would also suggest you opt for the shocks with a remote adjustable preload; it makes adjustment incredibly easy. One setting for your solo riding, and when your fat ol' lady insists on riding with you, another setting with the simple twist of a knob.

If someone has the part # that fits a K9 that be great. I like the remote should be able to find room under the seat for it.

That's the SAS system ...I don't believe that fits unfortunately. Awhile back I asked around on the forum, I think back then fitment was confirmed it didn't work.

Maybe SAS has made some changes?
