Sissy Bar - leave it on or take it off when solo?

Choppers can successfully pull off the classic look with a sissy bar, solo seat or not, far better than any other style out here. IMO, on your scoot, either way looks good. But I suggest you ride with both configurations for a few days each and see which works best for you.

Ridgeback I leave on with the day pack, the Mastiff I take it off. The best of both worlds... :D :2thumbs:

The only time I put my 18" sissy bar on is in the winter.
I have the luggage rack, and put my saddleman bag on to put my warm weather gear in.
Never rode two up on this one, use the pilon to put the bag on reverse for back rest on long trips.:up:

Well Franco, I'd imagine it's a little tougher for you to take yours off all the way from Afghanistan. :D
LOL, you nailed it :D

oh BTW, next week the boys from Texas are taking over from the Ohio ones in my location (Shindand) you know anyone?

:flag:Haven't run the bar since we bought the wife her own ride. To me it just don't look right on the Mastiff (to each his own). Before I only put it on when she was ridding with me. Kept anti-seize on the threads and it was such a quick change out I didn't even break a sweat in the South Georgia heat. I do like the look on the choppers though.:2thumbs:

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'm gonna just leave the bar on. By the way, the bar in my pics is a 12".

I, personally, do not like anything on the bike that is not necessary. I take the sissy bar off if my woman is not riding with me. I do think it looks much better without it on. I mean, what's the purpose of it on the bike if there is no passenger and no seat in front of it?

If your question just about the looks only, then IMHO, i would take it off. An extra touch could ruining the perfect picture.
