1996 Vintage Classic Oil Filter

Here's a good one -Thought I'd better change the fluids in the new Dog. Guess what? No oil filter! WTF? I hate to admit it but didn't notice it when I was looking it over before I bought it. Image searched and found a 97 and it appears there is no oil filter on it either. Can hardly believe this is the original setup. Anyone else seen this?

There has to be one if you've ran it or all the oil would run out of the bike!

No filter, no oil, locked up motor, boat anchor?

Thats it now ya got to buy a boat!

How about a pic of the front of the engine right above the voltage regulator. Also not sayin somebody in the past didn't relocate the filter, but if they had it should be noticible.

The rubber mounted bikes have the oil filter behind the transmission.
The drive train is very similar to a FXR.
I've posted a couple of pic in my gallery showing close ups.

You're most welcome. The early BigDogs are great bikes.
Most of the parts you'll need are related to FXRs or EVO baggers. Enjoy!
