DSSC tran rating
Spoke to Scott at Baker Drivetrain. I had heard many times that the DSSC gear box was rated for 165 ft lb of torque. Scott stated that this gearbox is only rated for 120 ft lb. With this gear box being a custom design for the frame there isn't an alternative gearbox to use. We discussed also the chain drive conversoin i will be starting this weekend. I spoke to the folks at Kendall Johnson customs in Winston Salem NC and they suggested 23t front and 51t rear. Baker says the DSSC was geared differently and to go 23t and 48t. We'll see. It will be either a stump puller or a top end speed machine. I wish our tachs were more acurate without the 500rpm increments. Keep ya posted. thanks and safe riding to all.

Baker built the tran to big dog specs. I blew my tranny 2 months ago and found out about rd from Scott @ Baker. I'll be able to blow smokey burnies all day after we get mine put back together in a week or so according to mark @ rd.
