I keep those white micro fiber rags with me. A friend of mine is a motorcycle cop and have taken the rags out of his hands when I see him just hitting the high spots on his personal bike and tell him to go away!!! He trusts me with it now! I sit on the ground and get those places that had never seen a rags or cleaner. I use that Weiman's silver polish on my chrome and billet and it doesnot seem to attract the dust as bad. My daughters driveway is Gravel, long gravel driveways suck,,,,If my scooter is really clean I won't ride it up there . We meet at the gas station when we go for rides, they think I am crazy. Don't put any of these polishes on your fingers to get in the tiny places,, even though it does a great job on the billett. It wll eat the skin off your finger and turn it nasty black!

Reaper you still undoubtly have the best looking bike hands down! I would polish it from one end to the other kinda just because. I could spend 5 or 6 hours straght on it. It is a hell of a lot easier to keep them clean than to clean them up after they get really nasty.

Please tell us you are kidding. You do not actually touch a strangers bike and start wiping it down...do you? If true, you must be a hell of a fighter because I know most would want to knock your teeth in for fucking with their bike!

No no Not total Strangers,,, Lots of times when we go where there are several bikes around people make comments about my scooter being cleaned up all the time and make statements like "You can clean mine up anytime you want to,, I never have the time,, etc etc"! Really by invitation only most all the time.
Lots of people ask me what I use to clean, polish, wax any of my vehicles, then when they see you have a passion and are anal about this kind of stuff you get an invite.
When you sit down on the ground and start getting in places that have never seen a cleaning rag, polish or wax cover with road funk and it shines again. Not to many people are wanting me to stop what I am doing other than people saying I don't have any money to pay you or something like that etc. To that I always reply, I didn't ask for any money ,,, so we are good. I enjoy doing this,, it is a stress release for me thank you for letting me do it. I have just obtained a new friend.
The only one I can remember that I did without asking anyone if it was ok for me to polish it down was the club president my daughter and son in law ride withthat left his bike in my daughter's gargage most of the time. He really didn't have a place to put it at the time and he worked a lot , a lot. His bike was neglected from that not because he was lazy. So I took all my stuff up there set up the fan in the gargage, sit my butt on the ground and spent about 6 hours solid on it then went back and touched up a few spots with some things I left at home I didn't have with me that day. He had been away working and no one told him his bike had been spotlessly cleaned up. My daughter told him I did it to relieve stress, of which I was loaded down at that time. I always had an open invitation to ride or clean his harley. He was one of those knock your teeth out kind of guys as well but my daughter said he was speechless when he saw his bike had been detailed cleaned up. All the folks in that club are my friend now.
I rode about 160 miles yesterday out through the country side. I believe it was 3 or 4 people that made comments about the scooter. Saw some deer, turkeys, and found a few bugs as well! Where are those spa rags !!!

have a good one ,,, whatever you R doing,

Ray
