Reaper that is about what I do. I spent 8 hours on her Sunday, she's only gone 50 miles since re-paint and 5 months of polishing. I put a black satin sheet on her when I finished vowing not to ride her until her exibit at the art Musuem is done. But that's a month away... I am sure I will sneak her out again a few times and spend hours getting her ready for the show again.

I agree completely Mine gets a good cleaning during the winter and during riding season I just wipe it down after each ride. I would rather ride mine than clean it.

Well, looks like there is something wrong with both of us. I wish I wasn't this way, but unfortunately I am. The upside is always riding a perfect looking bike.

I have restored several cars, mostly black (my fav color), but always sold them shortly after restoration because, If I drove them, I wanted to them to always look thier best. So obviously, after a drive, it took a day or two to clean and polish for the next time out, only for them to get dusty for before that next time!!!! I love toys and love the way they look, when perfect, but at 52 years old, I am tired of keeping my stuff perfect.

Now that I have new paint and have my Dog the way I want it... I am going through the same problem. Even a short 50 mile ride, in my mind needs a complete detail to get rid of dust and bugs.

My other bike is a Goldwing that I used to keep perfect as well, but decided to make it a daily driver rain and shine. I ride it to work and everywhere all year long unless it's snowing or freezing. I was able to overcome keeping it clean every day. I now wash it only once a week.

But I can't seem to enjoy my Dog unless she is 100% presentable at all times. I just don't have time to keep going through this ritual!!!!

I have actually started concidering selling the Dog for the same reason as my old Muscle Cars.

I need help!!!!! Are their any other Anal Retentive nuts like me out there?
ALAS......I have found my twin..........I am totally like you, I feel your pain!

Hey Chaz... How are you likeing your Pitbull? I Think your paint is awesome (very stiking combo of orange and black). I actually set out to have mine painted similar when my painter, (The Wizard), took me in the direction of real fire and blades.
Your bike just gleems!!!!!

Reaper, I think it's definately some sort of mental illness. Last weekend I made her perfect and covered her with a black satan sheet, to try to keep her pretty for the upcomming show, so today I peek under the sheet and see light dust!!!!!!!! Drives me nuts!!!

BTW I am riding daily including work commutes ( 80's in Ohio for 2 weeks straight in March!!!), but it's the Wing I am riding. I swear after this show... the Dog is going to get some miles on her

X2 I rode from New Orleans to Austin last year for ROT. When I get there after unloading the bike, a fiend comes up with a swiffer duster to get the dust off. It worked really well. I was surprised. I never bought one but I might one day.

I think it is meant for the Northern riders during Fall, Winter, and Spring when their Dogs sit in the garage a lot due to weather.

I know what you mean, dust pisses me off no end. No matter how perfect it is as soon as I ride it, it is covered in dust, drives me freaking nuts.
