I also love my bike, but find it to be a 2 hour bike then my ass is killing me. I had a custom seat made (Croc) and had gel inserted in my seat. Still kills me. I am about to buy an Air Hawk seat cushion; I understand they are VERY effective. YOu can see my seat pics under Purple Dog.

Thumbs up NELSON @ Wicked Bastard Cycles!!!

I just had Nelson build me a custom 2up for my 05 Ridgeback with front and rear air cells, that you can inflat or deflat to customize to your own ass. i also had him install a custom removable rider backrest like the corbins have, and why stop there I am having him do a custom inlay to match the tribal on my bike too!

I can't wait to get it. I will post pics when it's done!

I have the same problem, i went on a 450 mile ride and got to the other end and was in some serious pain, lower back and tailbone. I ride a hardtail and have for the last 6 years you expect a certain level of abuse but according to Nelson and his clients they can now go forever on their bikes without rider fatigue.

I'll keep you guys posted.

I heard that some people were having problems with the adjustable air cells in their seat. Sounds like the valves were failing on them. Danny Gray seats doesn't do them anymore, they just put a fixed air cell in and you can't adjust it. Anyone else have any info on this?? I'm looking to get a seat done for my dog and want it to be as comfortable as possible.

I just got my solo seat recovered and the guy replaced the foam in it for about 80 bucks. The foam replacement helps but about 100 miles is about it. You will lose feeling in everything that is touching the seat. Smooth roads help but still the roads in Tenn aren't that smooth either. Thinking about trying the gel myself.

have a great weekend ,
Ray

What's the turn around time on getting a seat done?

Can the gel be run up the back of the seat too?

Can the gel be added and still use my existing seat cover?

Here's what I have now.
(Sorry, it's the only pic I have showing the seat for now)

I am going to try the memory foam first, 125.00 here in Tampa at Cimo and Cimo an 08 K-9 seat, if that is not good enough then I will try the gel. I have heard that the "Gel" gets harder over time, has anyone had both or either of these seats to try (killing my ass before 200 miles).
