Want an oil cooler...

Hey guys,

Can you still buy the BDM oil cooler "kit" ( lines, cooler, fittings etc. ) I found one on Wimmer's site but prefer the style Shovelheadkicker is selling with both lines feeding in from the bottom.....the one he is selling is in sort of a bidding war....and is just the cooler....no lines fittings.

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Shane

Shane, don't understand why you would want one but we have our sponsors on here that can hook you up.

WBCycle (Nelson) sells BDM parts and yes they make the cooler and matching stash tube for the other leg.
McGroom offers lots of other parts and can get you about anything.
Maddog has the oil filters (re-usable) that may offer some cooling.

Contact them and they will hook you up.

I believe that's the bidding war he was talking about from shovelheadkicker in his first posts.

We'll see how hot it gets this summer here in TN, but as of now I don't plan on getting an oil cooler.

Do you guys know how much a difference the oil cooler makes? I live in AZ and it gets 120 plus at times. I often ride when it is around 110 no hotter. Thanks.

Shane: You can buy it direct from BDM for $270. I would price it out with Nelson from wickedbastardcycles. He gives forum members a good discount.

I use BDM's-in fact, I've got two on my K9-helps with the desert heat. But I'd also say to be sure and put in a thermostat.

I'm in Chandler so I know all about the 110+ heat. I have two on my K9 and they work great. I run Amsoil and with that and the coolers my oil temp dropped 30 degrees.
After my first trip to laughlin, shutting off and hearing weird noises come from my primary I put them on. never heard anything again.
