TCALZ06 I did pay the 1k for my stainless creations and to me they were well worth it, they do turn a gold color but not too bad. I have about 5k on mine and as long as I take the time to polish them up with some blue job every other wash (yes I bathe my dog with a bucket of soapy water and a high pressure nozzle, been lucky so far) they look like brand new!

FSD Exhausts is an unknown quantity at this point
This is Frankie Serrano, owner of FSD Exhausts. I got some calls and emails from some of my customers letting me know that there is someone out there trying to knock my name and FSD Exhausts name and said that I should check these comments out and set it straight! First off JOSH, you ordered a one-off exhaust which takes longer than a production pipe AND I gave you close to $300 off the regular price for a one-off! We called and told you we were backed-up as well as our coaters. You said you were leaving town and DEMANDED the exhaust or else! As for Miami Exhausts....they are out of business AND I am the designer of their hotrods which they stole AND I was the designer for the free flating. Miami Exhausts is out of business for a reason! To all the readers out there and are interested in an FSD Exhaust I am getting testimonials together from my customers and they will be on my website but would be more than happy to share some of them in the meantime if there are any concerns! As for free-floating, if you are wanting a longer tip on the 2-Nasty (it is a custom exhaust) and are a 'rider' I would suggest a bracket for the vibration. Look guys - you can't please everyone and yes I am a bit backed up right now as orders keep coming in and I am small shop that believes in making the customers happy and a great exhaust! All exhausts are custom made for the customer's bike specs. We are still in business (unlike Miami Exhausts) because we do not have an inventory with pipes sitting on the shelf. We do not force a sale not for nothing we don't need to. I am happy where we are at and where we are going! Call me lets talk 786-975-6085

As a consumer spending $800 dollars on a set of exhaust pipes for there bike, myself and other folks like to hear feedback on a company.
Now here is my feedback and thoughts on F.S.D exhaust.
Called and spoke with Frankie Mid- November on getting pipes for my bike, we chatted back and forth a few times, I told his asst Sarah that I will be leaving the middle of January to go back over seas for a third tour to fight for our country, before I paid will this be a problem, they assured me that they will be done way before that, no worries I was told at the most it would be 3 weeks. So I paid with my Credit Card( Thank God)!!
Three weeks go by, four weeks go by, I call to check up and start getting the run around, I re-fresh there memory and remind them I will be leaving in 3 weeks to go over seas!
Frankie said he had not even started on the pipes because he has been BUSY! But assures me he does not sleep, and whatever he has to do for a customer he will do. Well its the week before I have to leave, and still no pipes, no phone calls, no e-mails. I again call up F.S.D to see whats going on, I get the run around by his asst. At this point 2 months later and 1 day before I have to fly out, I had enough. I had to cancel the order thru my credit card company because he did not hold up his end of the deal, that being your the business, I am the customer you had no problem in taking my money but when it came time to delivery your product you failed.

Now if your going to come on here and try to slam a customer that had a awful experience with you and your company, at least tell half the correct story, also you might want to go over to HDF.COM and clubchopper.com there is a bunch of folks over there who have had the same problems that I have had with your company.

As for Miami Exhaust when my nightmare was finally over with F.S.D, I called and spoke with Miami Exhaust and they did what they said, delivered a set of pipes in 14 days, and yes the were ONE-OFF CUSTOM PIPES. Since I was a little busy fighting over sea's they where sent to my Uncle's house and when he got the pipes in 14 days, he said they where perfect.

Bottom line is don't be upset with me because I will never do business with or refer anybody to F.S.D!!! My experience speaks for itself.

all the reviews on these pipes they received in a short amount of time is really nice...the only reviews anyone has is how nice they LOOK.... or how their uncles, sisters brothers moms perception of them are....no one that has anything to say has had the pipes on their bikes for any length of time...we aint heard if they blue or gold,or spit ceramics out or melt into a pile of molten metal before our eyes.....allways seems like those who have not been around for any length of time and have hardly posted anything at all b4 have the most to say about anything and everything.........fuggin criticstis the season huh....

Sorry guys/gals I came across this thread and could'nt resist. I have the Hot Rod slashed pipes i bought from Miami Customs. Got them in 2007. Honestly I really like them (Sure they turned blue the next day but I wrapped them up myself so no worries). Not sure if Frank the Tank was still there or not but Josh I feel for you. I can't stand it when some of these guys promise this and that and then dont deliver. Yes it is custom and it takes time but be realistic about it. If you tell a customer an allotted time then it shouldn't really deviate from that unless something catastrophic happens. Ya know.

Anyway the morale of the story (boys and girls) ,it is like everything else in life, if you say you are going to do something then do it. Nobody wants to hear your excuses...especially when alot of money is involved. Put up or shut up.

Damn, I had to edit out that last part (for those that read it earlier)... that guy still has my part! He might do like Frankie and see my post then sabotage my sh!t!!!

I had already called and talked to Miami Exhaust before Frankie posted on here.

Jim from Miami enailed back and said he had 1 set of the pipes I asked about left. He said he was down to 10 sets or so that he was selling off.

I decided to hold off since he said he has sold or is selling. I never asked but figured there was no warranty. I was also concerned about service after the sale.

I am sure they make a great pipe but I decided a different direction was better for me.

I wanted to post on here about my recent experience with FSD exhausts.

I ordered a set of their BiPolar hot rod slashed pipes. I called in advance and asked if they could get them done in about two weeks. I wanted the pipes in time for AZ bike week and the laughlin River Run.

I have to say I was impressed. I received the pipes on time and received a couple phone calls from Frankie himself to make sure the pipes where made to fit.
The Bipolar pipes have chrome tips that bolt on and your choice of coatings on the top portion. I had the top done in ceramic chrome to try and avoid the Bluing.

So far after about 700 miles they are holding up great.

as soon as I get pics I will post them up.

HAVE TO WARN EVERYONE, DO NOT ORDER PIPES FROM FSD!! FRANKIE SERRANO or Frankie Seranno Design (F.S.D.) . I gave him $750 on Feb 12,2010 and still do not have a pipe or my money back. Today is august 7th, 6 months!!! ridiculous. I was given the usual excuse about the powder coater like everybody else. Neither he or Sarah will return my calls. If anyone knows the biker/hot rodding way you watch out for each other and this guy is not one of us. Do not trust him or his company. Because of his inabilty to admit he cannot do a job I have missed a riding season and this week in Sturgis. You suck frankie. We wil meet!!!! You cant hide behind Sarah or your answering service anymore. Nice touch..... too scared to talk to you customers. jzalusky@hotmail.com 306-533-1080

Guys,

To pay more than $450.00 for a set of exhaust pipes whether they are stainless steel or not is ridiculous. My experience with Jim Catsos has always been positive and I found him to be a straight shooter. Custom ChopperWerks is a federally licensed motorcycle manufacturer of motorcycle and motorcycle parts. We try to manufacture a Ferrari and sell it for the price of a Chevrolet. I contacted Jim Catsos and asked his permission to manufacture his designs with improvements instead of just copying them which I could have easily done.

We intend to produce Jim's designs shortly with butterfly baffles and possibly in stainless steel. They will be high quality and sell in the $400.00 range.

Below are examples of the quality work we do. These forward controls have duel bearings on EACH side. There are NO BUSHINGS. The master cylinder is warranted for life. They sell for $469.00 which is almost 1/3 the price of Accutronix and they are better machined.
