Airbrushed jean jacket and hat

Well, for door prizes for an upcoming get together I did the two cowboy hats and the hooded sweatshirt. I finished (well almost) my last two pieces tonight. One is a jean jacket. This one was really outside of my comfort zone as I decided to try a pin up type picture. I have only done two other "people" attempts previously. So, here is the jacket. The airbrushed artwork is done on the back.

The first pic is the almost finished female with my reference pic taped below it.

Here is a close up of the girl

and here is with the lettering airbrushed on the back

Here is an overall photo of the progress

Now, this isn't finished. Why? Because, dumbass I am, I was doing some touch up with black paint. Decided to see how much paint was left in the airbrush. Now, this could have been accomplished in two ways, first the right way would have been to lower the airbrush and look into it. Nawww, too easy, I'll just tip the gun sideways and look, whoops! @#%*&@!!!!! black paint spilling everywhere, on top of the jacket and on the lower part just below the my finished art.

Tried washing it out (don't think it will work) so the jacket is hanging to dry right now. Tomorrow I will have to come up with some "additional" artwork on the back to cover up the mess!

In the meantime to curb my frustration, I whipped out a quickie on a fedora. Fast, simple white skull and lettering.

When I finish the jean jacket, I will post it so you can see the final results.

How do you do that? I'm still using crayons and a big chief tablet.

Well, I couldn't get the black paint out of the jacket, so I added a design at the top to cover it and a silhouette at the bottom. Either way, the back is done and here is the finished product.
