WIRES PLUS WAITING 13 WEEKS AND NOTHING

Late in February it got up to 70 degrees here in Kansas City and I thought I would take my big dog K9 for a ride. After a mile my bike quit and i noticed some steam coming from under the seat and after a closer look, it was one of the Wires Plus modules melting down. I had changed over to Wires Plus about a year later and only had 1300 miles on this system. I went to wires plus because I had heard it was so much better than the replacement EHC from Big Dog at that time. I took my bike back to Hardcore Customs in KC and they contacted WP, shared the problem and waited for a new unit to come in. That was the first week in March. I keep hearing 2-3 more weeks and its going on 4 months. Ive called WP, emailed WP multiple times and still I've heard nothing. This has been the biggest inconvenience I have ever dealt with regarding any motorcycle or vehicle for that matter. I feel like Im at their Mercy and I'm not able to ride! So FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!! Suggestions?

After talking with Moespeeds, I'm going to eventually rewire my bike and go simple. This is the harness I'll be going with.

Scooters Complete wire harness kit w/ turns & instrument harness [500748-49-50] - $429.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep my hand controls because I'd like to go to a hyd clutch. If I go with HD hand controls, I'm just going to have the handle bars cut down and 1" tubing welded in. Otherwise I'll have the plates for the switches welded in and then drill and at switches like Lee had done to his bike.

Its a mess -- Wire Plus use to be good, but with all the problems the last six months, I can't recommend them to anyone. Got two bikes with their units -- if they fail, I'll be changing to a modified Harly harness.
