need info on oil change and case
just bought bike in spring its a 2000 bd 107c\i pitbull? how much oil does it take after oil is drained?whats the best oil to use? also how to drain case oil and how much to add and whats the best oil for the case? my oil check stick has no markings on it whats full or low how do i check it and what oil filter to buy ???? thanks in advance jim

AS FOR THE OIL FILTER I WOULD PURCHASE A J&P REUSABLE FILTER. A lot of guys including myself run them. No oil flow issues with them. S&S recommends a 30 micron filter which is almost impossible to find as most are 10 micron filters which according to S&S is to restrictive.

Yep, get with MadDog (Don at Valueteck). He can hook you up with a K&P reusable oil filter and a Scavanger oil change unit.....awesome stuff. As far as what oil to use, opinions vary. A lot of folks here use a good synthetic oil, Mobil1, Amsoil, Castrol...ect. Do some searching on manuals. I believe there is a post with a link to service manuals. That should tell you what you need to know concerning quantity.
