Solenoid (Slam) button?

Whats your opinion on the use of a slam switch on a 2004 starter solenoid. I found a couple of post on the site but was looking for any pro/con updates. Considering putting one on the dog for the just in case moments!
Thanks,

Yea, looks straight forward just replacing the solenoid cover and maybe some adjustments to the plunger. Do you have to pull your 12volt spade connector when you use the button?

I recently installed one on my 04 Pitbull for a backup and I agree very simple install , I bought it from usamotoman for 61 dollars .

I dont even know what a 12 volt spade connector is so I would have to say no,lol but the key on and hit the on button the push the slam button..

There is no downside to having one. Plug and play, no need to touch the spade connector.

BTW for an '04 all you should pay is $20. '05 and up for DSSC are more expensive, $60 I think.
