Not quite understanding the issue. It looks like you have an 06 K-9 so your scoot is 5 years old. I wouldn't expect them to warranty your tranny. Can you explain a little more, am I missing something here?

Yea warranty was 2 years. Don't actually know what they will do but you're out of time. My 08 had a prob and I had to buy the part but service was excellant and they gave me a 10% discount for being a BDB member. What kind of trouble are you havin? V

All Baker warranties are 5 years, the fine print says still under warranty. Of course we know when that ended. Why the save the US of America banter? Nothing is under fuckin warranty!

Baker honors 5 years !!! But that is 5 years from date bike was "reported sold" or "put in service"
If you have your original buyers order from the day you bought the bike they will honor it as long as it falls into thr 5 year time. One of my friends had trans problems on something other then a Big Dog but it came with a Baker and they covered it because it was under 5 years. He just needed to produce original buyers order for when he bought bike new. Chances are you havent gone up the ladder high enough to get the answer you want to hear. |

I don't even see where they say that they will honor any warranties. There was a 2 year warranty while BDM was still manufacturing bikes. I see on Cyril Huze where they just made sure everyone knew that Baker parts were still available...do you have an extended warranty? Most extended warranty companies cover tranny issues.

I am sorry that you are feeling this way. Our warranty between manufactures and aftermarket is different. This is decided and agreed upon with the manufacturer when they approach us for business. The two year warranty that BDM offered is actually greater than what most of the other OEM's offered with their bikes. If you or anyone else on here has any issues please feel free to contact me with your concerns or post up here and I will follow. I would be glad to help out in any way that I can. Thanks, Scott |
