Aspen, the reason I have so many miles on my bikes is cause when I was still active duty (retired after 30 yrs of Submarines) I lived in San Diego and had to commute 100 miles a day. So for 3 yrs I commuted 360 days a year 100 miles a day (the other 5 days it rained!) and I put over 24,000 miles on an 03 Mastiff I first had then when BD came out with the RSD I traded it for my 05 Chopper and put another 36,000 miles on it.

For the last two years I've been a retired bum living off my retirement check going to a lot of rallies meeting a lot of you guys. I now have over 61,000 miles on my Chopper and 85,000 on the two combines if anyone is counting!!

Back in 03 I hooked up with Bubblehead who had Hotrodbiker then and encouraged him to create a section on his website for Big Dogs. Well the Big Dog owners soon overtook the site almost chasing away all the other groups as it was a site for all brands. So he spun off this site Bigdogbiker a few yeas ago so I've been around for a while. Other members here from the old site also...... MARV, LDO, chucktx and several others.

As for BDM part in this. Well I've always did testimonials. I send them to lots of companies like Avon, Crampbuster and Big Dog. In return I gotten Hawaiian shirts, t-shirts, Crampbuster throttle pieces and my name and videos on the BDM website. At the larger events I organize group meetings and take pictures and then send them to BDM to show we do get out and ride these things. And I learn a lot from these adventures.

Do you all know that BDM sets up shop at most major rallies and fixes your bike with what ever is wrong with it. No matter how old it is, they will put if up on the rack and fix it for you! Can you say the same for HD or any of the rice burners? HD won't even service a bike of there any more that is over 5 yrs old....... What kind of crap is that?

As for history I've been into V-Twins since I was 19 when I bought my first HD then at 21 with my re-enlistment bonus I paid cash for a brand new 1981 FXWG when I was stationed in Kalifornia. I don't miss that old shovel head as I tell everyone. I miss the times and adventures but not the bike. HD was hated back in those days and it took a special bred to have one. Kinda like now....... with our BD's.
You can read all about that in my "Sailors Story" here:
http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/do...ors-story.html
Update to it being worked on now.

And now I sit at home with my 7yr old and my wife still active duty who is getting ready to report aboard the USS Stennis one of our Aircraft Carriers located here in Bremerton, WA and I use my time to attend all these rallies that eluded me when I was active duty and stuck under the sea for long periods of time on that ole submarine I was on.

Now my passion is this site and meeting all of you when I can and helping all of you out if I can.

So there you have it. It's just me planning my next ride which will be Run 21. Then the Testy Fest, then Sturgis, then Street Vibrations, then Kern River Run, then.............................................. ...........
Only a clone farm could type like that....

Wanna know how Ray gets that many miles, well a short time back someone else (Knotso) put out a post late Friday night to other Washington riders looking for a ride on Saturday. I was 375 miles away and suggested they take a ride over to see me. 2:00 Saturday afternoon they pulled in. Test rode 2 bikes, ate a hamburger, drank 1 cold one and an hour later they hit the road home. 750 miles just to have a mediocre hamburger, a cold bud light and see me all in 18 hours. That’s why there are a couple of them out there who have a bunch of miles.
