Thanks Chad. I was pulling my hair trying to figure it out. I ordered the trans fluid but was sent the gear fluid instead. Seems like they are the same but wanted to make sure. I put the gear fluid in the trans but went ahead and ordered the trans fluid again. Maybe I will just keep the trans fluid for next year. Only put 50 miles on the gear fluid so far but seems just fine. Not that bad finding neutral either. If you read the description on the trans fluid they make it sound like this stuff was made specifically for Baker transmissions. No mention on Baker trans on the gear fluid description. Either way thanks for the feedback.

I switched from Redline to Amsoil in all compartments last service interval, on the advice/sales pitch of a friend.

But...I'm considering switching back to Redline next time around.

The Redline tranny oil (ShockProof - aka the 'pink milkshake') just sounded better when I shift gears.

I was told to use mobile 1 20/50 for my gear oil. Is it thick enough?

OK,,just got my box of Amsoil today,,,changed the engine oil to (20w-50 amsoil) all seems great! alot of posts here are saying NOT to run the Amsoil synthetic 20w-50 in my primary due to clutch slipping issues,,right on the bottle it reads "No friction modifiers for outstanding wet clutch performance,High performance primary chaincase lubricant",,I know this is users choice here, I also read here, NOT to run amsoil 75w-140 severe gear in my trans?? These are all high quality lubercants here,Mobil-1,Spectro,Redline,Royal Purple,Amsoil, Just trying to whats best ...so let me have it!
