downshifting problem

I took the bike out this morning and it shifted through the gears fine until I started to downshift.I was able to downshift to the next gear only, the shift lever will stay down and in order to go another gear down I would have to lift the lever with my toe to get it to pop back and then I could down shift.

Anybody seen this before,I have about700 miles on the fluid change at 20 ounces.

I just replaced mine for this exact reason - had the same symptoms as you - see Nelson and he'll get you a new set. Until then clean and lube them.
