If all of the switches are in good condition then I would try rebleeding the system and try to get out of the lever and foot control all of the ply you might have.

It happened to me - I was running with a little play on my foot control so I rebled the whole system and have not had any problems. You also want to check and make sure that the brake switch/plunger isn't stuck on the brake housing. As far as the hnd control, Mine hasn't worked for years and my brakes are good. It all depends on the person I guess.

There is a thread here where someone is having an issue with the hand brake not working. Do a search and see if they resolved it and what the problem was.

Hey jay, I have an 03 as well and had bought some balistini pegs that did not fit. Is there a certain part # you had to use since the chopper werks website does not specify big dogs? And do I have to buy the new clevis as well?

BaddogJ,

The 2003 and earlier bigdogs all use Harley parts. 84-99 softails for pegs grips hand controls etc. However on the RT frame I have the rear passenger pegs do not work the frame hole is larger than the threading in the Choppwerks clevis. Not to say other will not match.
