My air shock was leaking air past the piston. Not a lot but about once an hour while riding I would pump it up a little. I sent it back to Works Performance and had it rebuilt for less than $200. On the rod end of the shock body you will see a small hole (or filter). Spray soapy water on it and see it bubbles up at all. If it does your shock needs to be rebuilt. If not, check the rest of the system. Also, on the pump itself, there is a filtered intake screen. If it is leaking there, your electronic check valve could be the problem. Hope this helps.
